Comic Lee Camp Hosts West Coast Release Show for "Pepper Spray the Tears Away"

Comedian Lee Camp will perform locally one night only at the FAKE Gallery to promote the release of his new album "Pepper Spray the Tears Away." Tickets are available online. Special guests are expected and this will be Lee's only full-length show on the West Coast for a long time.

Lee is perhaps best known for two things: his early support of the Occupy movement (he performed at over a dozen protests in the U.S. and Canada) and his appearance on Fox News where he went off script during a live broadcast by calling the network "a parade of propaganda" and "a festival of ignorance." Shockingly, he has not been invited back.
Lee has just turned his popular Moment of Clarity webseries into a book collection of the same name. It features 90 of his angrily opinionated, hilariously acerbic humor columns. Lee's edgy style has been compared to Bill Hicks and George Carlin by the Guardian and Time Out. He is an in-demand commentator and satirist who tours the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Moment of Clarity takes the palpable anger that exploded across this country in the form of Occupy Wall Street and turns it into something palatable yet toxically funny. Lee's work leaves the reader thinking and laughing as he tackles social and political issues with passion and authenticity. With the Occupy movement about to make news again in the coming months as the election picks up steam, Lee will once more be deeply involved in delivering the message with his sharp wit and biting commentary. You can see more of his live appearances on Tea Party leader Sharron Angle on BBC NewsnightCountdown with Keith Olbermann, and most recently MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Show.
