Donut Summit 2011 will take place this Sunday in Elysian Park.
Here's what you need to know:
WHAT: The junk-food-loving bloggers of blogging.la follow up on the greasy heels of 2010’s wildly successful inaugural Donut Summit. Donuts will be labeled, sampled and voted on by category. Winning donuts & donut-makers get totally awesome awards and mad respect.
WHEN: Sunday, July 31, 2 p.m.
WHERE: Picnic Area #6, near the intersection of Elysian Park Drive and Chavez Ravine Road.
COST: Between six to 12 donuts, sourced at your fave donut shop OR, yes, you CAN make your own. Label box or bag with the name of the donut maker.
OTHER: Games, goodies and iced coffee from Intelligentsia Coffee.
We're told submissions will be judged as best filled; roundest; best fritter; best glazed; best maple; weirdest; sexiest; etc.
But we suspect blogging.la may be improvising a bit.
Ill-advised behavior are in store and silly costumes are encouraged.
Our camera will be there to capture the color and pick up the crumbs.
