Who Wants Their Echo Park Lake Back?

Local electrician and photographer Hugo R. Ajanel posted this reminiscent image on our Facebook Wall Tuesday morning.

It's been a long haul, with Echo Park fenced off from public consumption for over a year now.

Of course, the end is in sight, with the rehab completion date set for May 2013.

But meantime, the rehab has cramped a lot of outdoor lovers' styles.

Where have you been going instead of Echo Park to enjoy nature and the outdoors?

Tell us in comments.

I really miss my Echo Park, used to go and walk around the lake on my bike, and on foot.

Don't know if my comment was posted - I said I miss the lake and worry about the animals -- especially the turtles. I don't think they were really resettled. Thanks for the photos Hugo!

@Joan--I think your comment showed up on Hugo's photo of the turtles that we posted last week. AR
