Silver Lake Father Finds Pot Stash in His Hot Tub

By one estimate, the canvas bag is worth $175,000.

 

Silver Lake homeowner Mack Reed has no idea how it got there.

But, as he wrote  on his blog Thursday, he found a canvas bag of highly aromatic "high grade drugs" in his empty backyard spa recently.

Reed's recounting notes it was "sealed it tightly into jars, Ziplocs and professionally vacuum-sealed pouches."

According to LAPD inventory, there were 61 containers. By Mack's assessment, they were worth $175,000 on the street.

No clue, of course, how long the bag was there.

But it created quite a dilemma for Reed: what should he do with it? And would the owner be back?
