Despite its well-earned reputation as a car-centric city, there are pockets of Los Angeles that are pedestrian-friendly. On most days, the intersection of Echo Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park is a hub of foot traffic -- and, as our on-the-go photographer Gary Leonard discovered, a prime place for spotting alternative methods of transportation. So, walk, stroll, skate or scoot, but whatever you do, park the ride at home.
