Lost Chicken Safe and Off the Streets

Dog and cat rescues are an everyday thing in our nabe.

And next maybe chickens.

At lease one rescued bird is safer now.

The bird had been wandering Echo Park Avenue on Wednesday.

It waited, fittingly, for a time at Chicken Corner near the specialty market , but was eventually returned to its owner.

Facebook friend Jessica Ritz summed it up well:

When Echo Park worlds collide: lucky for this lost "rescue" chicken, that means organic fennel snacks from Cookbook next door.

Perhaps, though owner Marta Teegen says it was someone else at Chicken Corner who made the rescue.
