Accomplishent: This self-taught dancer won an award at school for her groovy moves
Key to Awesomeness: Katherine Juarez is an ebullient and out-going 6th grader. Her favorite subjects in school are computers and history. Her goal in life is to become a kindergarten teacher because she already shows talent with handling younger kids. She actually enjoys public speaking and is practicing slide shows in school in addition to her readings at church. And despite never having taken a lesson, she took home a first-place prize in a dance class at school. Laughs, stares or scrutiny didn’t stop Katherine from participating in the school talent show, either. “Who cares?” she declares, “Just have fun with it.”
