Hollywood, Silver Lake Assemblyman Secures Technology Grant For Local School

Assemblyman Mike Gatto announced last week he secured a $5,000 technology grant for Thomas Starr King Middle School, a Los Angeles school located near both Hollywood and Silver Lake on Fountain Avenue. The funding will go towards the purchase of iPad minis and ebooks

“The new tablets and updated eBooks will provide the children with the necessary technology to help them excel in the classroom and prepare them for the job market of tomorrow,” Gatto said in a written statement.

 Thomas Starr King Middle School serves grades six through eight. Gatto is the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee in the California State Assembly and represents many Los Angeles communities including parts of Hollywood, Los Feliz and Silver Lake.
