Griffith Park Is L.A.'s Top Filming Location for 2012

The city-owned park in Los Feliz is a long-time favorite, with its iconic observatory where parts of "Rebel Without A Cause" were shot.

Los Feliz's Griffith Park is number one on a new list of 2012's top film, television, commercial and music video shoot locations in Los Angeles County.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Bird Sanctuary near the Greek Theater alone generated 409 production days, including visits by "Southland" and "Sons of Anarchy."

("Southland" also shot recently in Silver Lake. See images here.)
