Why Go: The Echo and KXLU present a night of music featuring Abe Vigoda, Parenthetical Girls, Extra Life and Sam Mickens. Must be 18 or older to attend.
Pricing: $8 in advance, $10 day of show.
Where/When: The Echoplex, Friday, 9 p.m.
Why Go: Check out this legendary voice in person. Must be 18 or older. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Pricing: $22 for advance seating; $17 advance general/standing.
Where/When: Elysian Park, Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: Get some fresh air and exercise while learning about the history of the eastern end of the park. Reservations are required and can be made through an email to: ephs@HistoricEchoPark.org.
Pricing: Free to EPHS members and $5 for everyone else.
Where/When: Heritage Square Museum, Saturday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Why Go: This week’s film is “Badlands of Dakota” (1941), featuring Robert Stack, Ann Rutherford, Lon Chaney Jr., Frances Farmer, Addison Richards and Richard Dix.
Pricing: Free for members, $10 general admission.
Where/When: Galco's Soda Pop Stop, Sunday, 5-8 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy live music, an auction and of course a sampling of a variety of sodas, including new flavors. All proceeds go to benefit the Southwest Museum.
