Fire Officials Encourage Safety this Fourth of July

Officials are encouraging everyone to attend a fireworks show this Fourth of July instead of trying to set off their own fireworks which often pose fire dangers.
There are plenty of places around L.A. to catch fireworks shows this week or to view them.

The Griffith Observatory is a great spot to be able to view fireworks from all around the city.
There will also be a fireworks show downtown at the Los Angeles Coliseum that will include children’s activities, music and giveaways. The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., and the fireworks show will take place at 9 p.m.
