EP, Silver Lake Score High in New Walkability Survey

A national survey by Walk Score confirms what we already knew.

Four nearby neighborhoods all scored far higher than Los Angeles overall on a new walkability survey.

The website Walk Score released the survey, which awarded Los Angeles a 66 score, 13th in the nation.

Meantime, Echo Park, Silver Lake and Los Feliz were all in the high 70s.

Los Feliz had a score of 79, Silver Lake had a 78, and Echo Park got a 75, the same as Eagle Rock.

Downtown was tops with a 92, while San Pedro was at the rear with an 11.

The survey was conducted by Walk Score, which ranks a city's walkability by measuring the proximity of individual addresses to various local resources, based on location and population data from the 2010 Census.
