ACCOMPLISHMENT: This studious soccer player crafts his own quilts.

KEYS TO AWESOMENESS: Modest Adrian says that he doesn’t “really know” what makes him a whiz kid. This outgoing third grader enjoys playing soccer, and he practices in his own time now that the Clifford Street School no longer has a team. He likes dogs and hopes to get another one soon. Social studies is his favorite subject, and, in math class, he’s currently tackling division.

But what’s special about Adrian is his crafty side. He takes part in Miss Rodriguez’s after-school quilting club, where he managed to sew together his own quilt. He also has made a wooden doll and crafted another out of paper. He used “yellow thread for blonde hair.” With dexterity and skill, Adrian expresses his creative side.
