Citizens of the World Silver Lake is opening up spots for students entering 2nd and 3rd grade in September 2012. Our first day of school will be September 5th and there is still time to join.
If you enroll now, you will secure a spot for your child in this progressive, academically rigorous charter school based on the constructivist method. This is an exciting new public school in the neighborhood led by a non-profit organization, top tier educators, and an energized parent community. We'll be adding grade levels every year with the plan of going up to 12th grade.
The first Citizens of the Wolrd school, CWC - Hollywood, has been tremendously successful and now CWC - Silver Lake will bring this 21st century classroom to more children from diverse backgrounds.
If your child is entering 1st grade, we also encourage you to apply at this time. While our Kindergarten and 1st grades are full, there is always potential to still get a spot off the waitlist due to the unique nature of our first year in existence. (We are no longer accepting Kindergarten applications for 2012.)
We have our new principal, Dr. Ramona Patrick, and we have hired excellent teachers and teachers' assistants - all of whom bring tremendous experience and enthusiasm to our goal of making CWC - SL one of the top public schools in the country.
