LOCAL BUSINESSES GET NEIGHBORLY

Merchants, restaurants and music venues, including Dangerbird Records and Vacation Vinyl, hosted a very walkable afternoon and evening.

It happened along some of the same stretch of Sunset that would have closed to traffic during the fair.

The last-minute "No Function Junction" was  organized after the cancellation of this year's Sunset Junction Street Festival.

It was one of several alternative events taking places this weekend.

MERCHANT SEE GOOD BUSINESS FROM REGULARS

Laura Howe, owner of Matrushka Construction, said her store was probably busier than it would had been had the fair gone on.

Several other merchants echoed that sentiment.
