Spitz Los Feliz Opens With Thursday Happy Hour Specials

Hillhurst location boasts 12 beers on tap, 9 California wines and Sake Sangria. Food specials to round out happy hour roll out all week.

Spitz, a favorite Middle Eastern-inspired sandwich shop and home to the doner kebab has expanded to Los Feliz. Robert Wicklund, co-founder told Patch, that after 10 years in Eagle Rock and downtown, they are thrilled to be in Los Feliz, “We felt Los Feliz was the obvious next location for us, we are huge fans and live in east L.A. – so after the success of our Eagle Rock and downtown restaurant, here we are.”

Founded 10 years ago in Eagle Rock with Wicklund's business partner Bryce Rademan, the first Eagle Rock restaurant is just one mile from Occidental College where he graduated from and lived.

Jamie Galey, manager of the Hillhurst location added, "Thursday we are kicking off our happy hour drink and food specials: from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. We will be toasting 12 beers on tap, nine wines and four types of sangrias including our new Sake Sangria to beat the heat."

Wood that lines the bar paneling is antiqued, but in a true and very L.A. way-- it is from Frank Sinatra's Coldwater Canyon home.

A shuffleboard table, open-air seating and of course the delicious meats, either sliced chicken, beef or lamb, are all available as wraps.

Don't forget to order yours "street cart style," which adds the welcome kick of garlic aioli to the original mix of tzatziki and chili sauce.

Spitz Los Feliz is located on 1725 Hillhurst Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90027.
