Sketch of Elysian Park Sexual Assault Suspect

The LAPD released a composite sketch Thursday of the man who sexually assaulted a hiker on Halloween.

Police have now released a composite sketch of the man who sexually assaulted a woman about 25 yards from her car Oct. 31 in Elysian Park.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30s, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches in height, weighing 210 pounds.

The woman was nearing the end of a hiking trail close to Academy Drive and Stadium Way at about 1 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect then placed one hand over her mouth and sexually assaulted her with the other hand.

The Eastsider LA reports that undercover officers have been in the park since the attack trying to find the suspect, with no luck.

The woman was assaulted at about 1 p.m. as she was walking back to her vehicle parked near the trail.

The man emerged from a bush near a park service road.

He grabbed the woman from behind, using one hand to cover her mouth and the other to sexually assault her.

The woman broke free, and the suspect ran up a trail toward Park Drive.
