Echo Park resident and Greater Elysian Echo Park Neighborhood Council president Jose Sigala snapped this photo late Tuesday of Occupy L.A. marchers.

They are at Glendale Boulevard and Montana Street.

In a tweet, Sigala said he also thanked the marchers for their "commitment to working families."

Occupy L.A. came to Echo Park to visit Rep. Xavier Becerra's office in the Citibank building on Sunset.

The visit was in sympathy with the Occupy Movement's national "Occupy Congress" Day.

Becerra represents Echo Park as part of the 31st Congressional district.

Despite the EP's long history of activism, this is the first visit we know of by Occupy L.A.

But, this fall, a group of Echo Park activists marched the other way, down Sunset to an Occupy L.A. congress.

You can listen to KPCC's recent interview with Becerra here.
