According to the email:

A friend of mine in Silver Lake woke up with an intruder in her bedroom. He fled, but returned the next day!  The police haven't caught him and said it was similar to several incidents with other women in Silverlake and Los Feliz. [G]uy dressed like a jock driving a Honda Element.

According to a police report, the first incident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 8 at a home in the 2300 block of Cove Avenue in Silver Lake.

A series of nighttime burglaries involving single women--some also involving sexual assaults--was identified and reported by police in August.

Many of the women were sleeping when the burglar struck, often by reaching through an open windw.

Police are still seeking a suspect in those incidents and had said they would be providing a composite photo.

Those incidents were centered near Los Feliz Boulevard and Griffith Park Boulevard.

The 2300 block of Cove Avenue backs on to Glendale Boulevard east of the Silver Lake Reservoir.
