How Will Sunset Triangle Plaza Be Maintained?

That issue came up at Wednesday’s Silver Lake Neighborhood Council meeting.

Genelle LeVin of  the Silver Lake Improvement Association came to the council requesting funds to keep the Sunset Triangle Plaza spruced up.

Several council members expressed concern at the after-the-fact nature of the approximately $2,000 request, with the plaza already in place.

They also wanted to ensure that local businesses were contracted to do the work.

They tabled the motion—it had been a long night with a long period of public comment on the co-location question at Micheltorena.

Presumably it will return at the council's next meeting in early April--though how maintenance will be handled in the interim is not clear.

An earlier version of this piece incorrectly stated the request as $2,000 per month maintenance. We apologize for the error.
