My house guest from Brooklyn, John Huntington, snapped these photos on his Nikon D-7000.

The gates were open along Echo Park Avenue when we passed by Wednesday.
Another view through the rarely opened gates Wednesday.
The historic boathouse is getting a facelift as you can see here.

Lots of layers to this rehabilitation project.

Where do you take an out-of-town visitor with high-res camera?

Echo Park Lake.

That's where I turned my house guest and kayaking buddy from Brooklyn, John Huntington, loose Wednesday with his Nikon D-7000.

By day, John is an expert in the user of computer technology for live shows.

Lately, he's helped design the sound system for the Tribeca Film Festival's outdoor screening series.

He also teaches the stuff at City Tech college in Brooklyn and lives very near Prospect Park and, presumably, reads the Park Slope Patch.

Here's a link to John's blog, Control Geek.

His "snapshots" of our evolving park--including the boathouse--are in the attached media gallery.
