Toddler Hit By Vehicle Near Betty Plascencia Elementary School

Sergeant Joseph Sanchez of the LAPD's Rampart Division says the child was expected to be released from the hospital Friday night.

A vehicle struck a young boy Friday afternoon around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Temple Street and Edgeware Avenue in Historic Filipinotown, said Officer Aguayo of the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic Division.

The type of vehicle involved and whether the young boy was accompanied by anyone remains unknown at this time, said Aguayo.

Sgt. Joseph Sanchez of LAPD's Rampart Division said the boy was admitted to the hospital for a CAT scan, but was expected to be released late Friday.
